Today, more than 60 companies and research institutes meet in Oelsnitz for the year-end congress of the two textile networks, LanoTex and RaumContex. The participating partners are working on projects that will open up new fields of application for textiles. Over the last few years, for example, the Thuringian Institute of Textile and Plastics Research (TTIK) in Rudolstadt, Buntgardine Rotschau, and Neustädter Gardinenkonfektion have cooperated on the development of a textile-based system for reducing temperature peaks in calf barns. Testing of the system has been in progress at Bobenneukirchen Agricultural Cooperative since the summer.
